I turned 72
Another birthday
And I am still here
I know some of that
Is my attitude
As my oncologist likes to tell me that
Makes me smile
I would even say
Part of it is how I take care of myself
Finding joy where I can
That’s where you come in
All of you
What a job
They way you do it
Working with cancer patients
With Patience
And caring
I see and feel that caring
I feel the joy you bring to me
They way I am treated
Listened to
I am grateful for all of you
That you are here
That you have chosen a path
In your life
To work with cancer patients
To work with me
It is truly a blessing
To have a care team like you
Thank you

For the people that you are
