A poem for Pam, Erin, Kira and Justina

A poem for the nurses
By Norman Teinowitz, you have my permission to share.

on Pam
on Erin
On Kira
On Justina
How you glide through MyChart
And answer my questions
Without a start
I feel your heart
And your smiles too
Even when I ramble
Sometimes in my questions
I do
Sometimes I’m trying to figure out something
And sometimes I’m learning about something new
And sometimes I’m sharing
Something I learned too
Your there all the time
You respond on a dime
So helpful you are
Educating me
I have learned what it’s like
To be a patient at OHSU
Yippee I say
Or maybe Wow Wee
I might try Yodeling OHSU…….
I can yodel too
I have woken at 3:00 in the AM
Not a yodel in my mind
It’s a question I have
And in the morning you respond
Such pleasant voices you have
And information too
If you don’t know the answer
Off with research go you
Sometimes it’s a pharmacist
Sometimes it’s my doc
But most of the times
It’s one of you
So much knowledge you have
Makes me smile to know
That you are there
And I can ask you questions
Sitting in my jammies
In a chair
And you answer with such grace
I want to thank all of you
For being there
Thank you
For being who you are
And supporting a patient
I feel that support
Thank you
Norman
